1 of 5 Gasket doesn't cover ports March 8, 2023

The gasket looks great like it would really help with the warped header, but there is one major problem.  The 2ZZ engine has little exhaust ports above the normal exhaust ports.  Not sure why, but the manifold flange actually blocks them off, but this only works if the gasket also blocks them off.  This one does not, so in fact, it actually CREATES an exhaust leak by moving the exhaust manifold flange away from those little ports and allowing the exhaust to flow right out.

Also, am I supposed to use the factory torque spec, which is 37 ft-lbs or do I use theirs which is only 20 ft-lbs?
