TIPS: We want you to get the most from your use of Remflex material in your DIY project. Please follow these basic guidelines:
1.) DO NOT BEND! Remflex material is designed to withstand clamping force and incredible heat, but not bending. If you bend it, it will break!
2.) Do not over tighten. When properly installed the flange should be tightened evenly.
3.) Longer bolts aren't necessary. Though Remflex is thicker than other material, standard length bolts will work fine.
4.) Do not use sealers. Silicone and other sealers cannot withstand the same temperature as the Remflex material, and can actually cause leaks.
5.) Remflex material can easily be cut with a sharp utility knife or razor blade. Trace your pattern first then punch out any bolt holes. Next, cut your ID and OD.
6.) Practice! We will provide you with several sample pieces of the material to practice on before you begin your project. We highly recommend that you do this and get a feel for the material before you handle the material blank.
